Mackenna's 9 Month Check up

Mackenna's 9 month appointment with Dr Peterson went smoothly! Her ears are looking perfect post- tube surgery, and she is babbling and moving at a normal pace. She isn't crawling yet, but given the strength she has- he isn't worried about it at all. The only slight concern was her 1 lb weight loss since her 6 month checkup, as she now weighs in at 18 lbs. (A few months back she was 19 lbs and wasn't quite as "trim" looking.) This puts her height vs. weight ratio in the 30th percentile for her age. The weight loss is likely due to all of the ear infections, and the flu that she had over the past few months. Mackenna went through a few weeks of not being interested in food, but that is now a thing of the past. Her appetite is healthy, and we are going to check back in 3 weeks to see if she has gained some of the weight back. He commented on what a great demeanor she has, and we couldn't agree more! Despite all of the unfortunate ear infections, flu, cold, etc... she has been a little trooper. Here is to hoping that her being sick is a thing of the past!
