This year we took Mackenna, the friendly orange princess, to the Wescotts neighborhood for some trick or treating. Mackenna watched the bigger kids from the stroller, and had a great time. I wore a black wig, and nobody recognized me. Hope you all had some tricks and treats in your day!
Thank you to Aunt Jenny for this fabulous costume. It fit perfectly!

Happy Birthday, Baby Girl!
I could write a whole long, sappy, tear- jerking paragraph on how emotional it is to see the 'fruits of my labor' (pun intended) turn 1. But, I'll spare you. The day was absolutely perfect. From the weather, to the company, to all the fabulous gifts- September 1, 2012 was a great day.
Birthday breakfast was donuts. As a kid, I always had donuts for breakfast on my birthday. I started this tradition already for Mackenna. Since I always feed her organic/ wholesome/ healthy food, this day was an exception for her. And, a treat.
Chocolate for breakfast, dad... what is this?
While Mackenna played all morning, Ben and I whipped her up a homemade birthday cake. This is another birthday tradition we are hoping to start; a homemade birthday cake every year. For two people who have never made a cake before- I'd say we did okay :)

It was a gorgeous day for a party.

Excuse me, I have a card for my girlfriend.

Oh hello.
I've been a little MIA on the blogging scene lately, since we've been on the go all month long! I plan on spending the weekend at home, and if Mackenna let's me.. Working on my blog. Here are a few photos from my iPhone, of our last few weeks. Progress at camp, Ethan & Jessie's wedding, Waterford road race, Mackenna being crazy in the grocery cart with grandma, and Pete hanging out with the two babies. Life is good.
Expect more updates soon!

Fall is here!
Yesterday, I knew fall was here. Fall is both Ben & I's favorite season. We start every morning off with pumkin coffee, come home to pumkin candles, and occasionally have a pumpkin beer.
To start off October- I put UP the decorations, and Ben took DOWN a deer with his bow!

Summer 2012
This summer has been one of the most eventful, enjoyable summers that I can remember. With the addition of Mackenna in our summer season plans, every weekend was one to remember. I couldn't keep up with blogging every family adventure, but here is a recap on some of the best moments of Summer 2012.
Girls Night w/ Mackenna
Jen and I tried a million times to get a good group picture of our offspring. Unsuccessfully. And without husband cooperation, may I add.
Ben worked outside every chance he got.
