Seven Months

I'm 7 Months Old!

• I can sit up unsupported for long periods of time.
• I have 4 bottles a day, and 2 meals a day consisting of oatmeal and pureed vegetables.
• I nap 3 times a day, roughly at 9 AM, 1 PM, and 5 PM.
• I sleep through the night from 8 to 6.
• I still have just my two bottom teeth.
• I love to drink water through a sippy cup.
• I smile all day long.
• I have rolls everywhere!
• I giggle when my sister plays with me.

Dakota's 6 Month Check Up

Our little healthy girl had her 6 month check up with Dr Peterson yesterday. She weighed in at 18.75 pounds and is 26.75 inches long. That puts her in almost the 90th percentile for both height and weight.

No concerns. She isn't quite sitting up yet, but she can hold herself up mostly unsupported for a short period. She loves to practice standing. She's a healthy, happy (mostly big) little girl!

We are planning to introduce her to some new foods this week with protein, including eggs and yogurt. And, as of last night, Dakota slept through the night. Here is to hoping it wasn't a fluke, and we all start sleeping better in the Siemen house.

Yarmouth Clam Festival

Mackenna and I went to the Yarmouth Clamfest again this year, this time we brought Dakota, Connor and Judy (Grandma.) Technically, Dakota was there last year she just doesn't know it. We met up with the McGuires there. Mackenna loved spending the day with her Grandma at the fair.

No fear. On the motorcycle ride. She would have gone on much bigger rides, if only she was 42 inches tall. Maybe next year?

Six Months Old

I'm 6 Months Old!

• I can roll stomach to back, and back to stomach.
• My two bottom teeth are starting to poke through the gums.
• I have four 8 ounce bottles a day.
• I've had oatmeal (which I eat with breakfast) and a pureed vegetable (which I eat for dinner.) So far I've tried peas, carrots, and sweet potatoes- and love them all. 
• My big sister calls me "Toe-ee." Mom calls me Kota bear.
• I am almost always complimented on my clear blue eyes.
• I am just the happiest baby. I smile almost all the time I am awake. My smile is so big that it takes up most of my face. 
• Right when I turned 5 months old, I had a week of sleeping through the night completely. Since than, I have been back to waking up at 3 am, and coming in bed with mom and dad to sleep.
• I still sleep on my stomach for naps and bedtime.
• I am a little chunky monkey. Rolls and adorable baby fat everywhere! I am wearing 6-12 month clothes, size 2 shoes, and my thighs are too big to fit into the baby Bumbo seat.
• I can't help but smile when I see my sister.
• I love the water. The bath, the pool, the ocean, I love it all.
